Pirate 404 aka Jo Walsh - Trades House compo entry

The design takes its shape both from the functional garments worn by members of the 13 crafts of the Trades House, and the garments they produced. An apron-shaped backless wrap dress, an optional second smaller one as a back covering, and a voluminous under-skirt designed to show.

It's modular, with parts that can be added for increased modesty. "Minimalism in the front, maximalism in the back"; the front piece is a plain apron, cut simply to avoid waste. The back is a ballooning underskirt or "wylie-coat" with a sculptural detail of a ruff-like bustle exaggerating the rear.

I'd like to add an evening bag, but that depends on the materials. Any embellishment on the straps would be taken from pieces in the provided fabric bundle (buttons, etc). Structural reinforcement on the bag or wylie-coat would be with scavenged natural materials (willow, bamboo) from the local area.
